CHE-Ranking

What is it about?

Every year, the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) publishes the so-called CHE University Ranking, which presents and compares study programs and conditions at different universities in Germany.

Ruhr University Bochum will participate in the survey in summer semester 2026 with the following master degree programs:

• Law
  Wirtschafts- und Steuerrecht (LL.M.)
• Economics
  Economic Policy Consulting (M.Sc.), Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Controlling & Taxation (FAACT) (M.Sc.), Management and Economics (M.Sc.), Sales Management (M.Sc.)

How do I take part in the survey?

All Master students in the above-mentioned subjects will receive an invitation to the online survey from RUB by e-mail with a password for participation. You have approximately from April 13, till end of july to complete the online questionnaire. The questionnaire is available in German and English.

RUB will raffle off an iPad among all participating students:

• one iPad
• 15 vouchers from AKAFÖ worth 30 euros

How is my anonymity guaranteed?

Participation in the survey is anonymous. The password for accessing the online survey is randomly assigned and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about specific individuals.

Why is it important that I take part in the survey?

The results of the CHE University Ranking are provided free of charge and published in the weekly newspaper "Die Zeit" and the online portal "Hey Studium".

Many prospective students, parents and teachers use the ranking for an initial orientation as to which degree programs at which universities were rated well. Every rating by RUB students therefore helps to draw the attention of as many prospective students as possible to the courses on offer at RUB.

The results also help RUB itself to continue to develop.
