Ruhr-Universität offered a varied program with something for everyone:

Alumni reunions in the faculties

The subject-specific alumni meeting in the faculties kicked off the event on Friday. Under the motto "The best of research and teaching today", alumni had the opportunity to gain exclusive insights into their former domains - and of course to meet up with colleagues from back then. Laboratories, lecture halls and seminar rooms could be visited, there were experience tours, finger food and champagne receptions. For example at the Faculty of Sports Science or the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.

RUB50 gala in the canteen

Afterwards, the guests of the RUB50 gala enjoyed a special evening in the festively decorated cafeteria. The WDR presenters Désirée Rösch and Lars Tottmann (both RUB alumni) led through a varied program with Götz Alsmann, Pamela Falcon, Mambo Kurt and many others. In the foyer of the cafeteria, there was the opportunity to take a souvenir photo, find out about the latest developments on the RUB campus or relax to jazz music.

BlauPause on the Universitätsstraße

The following day, on Saturday, alumni were able to experience the BlauPause in the open air together with Bochum's citizens and RUB employees: Five kilometers of Universitätsstraße had already been closed off the night before and declared a festival mile. RUB and the university city of Bochum presented themselves at around 1,200 tables. More than 100,000 visitors on bicycles, inline skates or on foot enjoyed the colorful hustle and bustle in bright sunshine.

Closing brunch

The alumni meeting concluded in a cozy and informal atmosphere with a joint brunch on Sunday.
