At Ruhr-Universität, all German nationals interested in studying a degree course that is subject to restrictions must submit an application via the online portal. International applicants must use the online portal for degree courses that are subject to restrictions as well as for degree courses that are not subject to restrictions.
The application portal is available in the languages German and English.
The online application is only possible during limited periods:
The date on which the application is submitted is irrelevant for the selection and admission process.
Exceptions:
After submitting their online application, all applicants receive a confirmation email with a control sheet and application number. The control sheet states which documents (if any) have to be submitted to the university in order to complete the application. If no documents are requested at this point, all relevant documents will be reviewed when the applicant immatriculates in person.
The information portal admission lets applicants track their application and accept or reject a university place that is offered to them. Admission letters are available for download after the admission process on the information portal is completed. Rejection letters are likewise available for download on the information portal after the application process is completed.
