Art Collections of Ruhr University Bochum

The largest collection of ancient art in the Ruhr area can be admired at Ruhr University Bochum below the university library opposite the Audimax, together with around 1,000 works of modern art.

Interior art design, contemporary art, as well as Asian and African art are featured in the “Situation Kunst” exhibition in Bochum-Weitmar. The affiliated museum "Museum unter Tage (MuT)" leads visitors underground: Deep below the surface of the earth, it houses exhibitions such as “Worldviews (Weltsichten)”.
