FIT4Job – Mentoring for Internationals

The mentoring program brings international students together with experienced international and German mentors. They share their good practices and job experiences 1:1 with their mentees and provide valuable tips for starting a career in Germany.

Who can take part?
  • International students from Ruhr University Bochum take part in the program as mentees.
  • International and German alumni of Ruhr University Bochum take part in the program as mentors. Mentors should ideally have one year of professional experience, but at least one month.
What are my responsibilites as a mentee?
  • Participation in the kick-off event on November 4, 2025
  • Regular exchange meetings (digital or in person) with the mentor
  • Transparent communication and agreements with the mentor, especially regarding the number and duration of meetings

  • Regular exchange meetings (digital or in person) with the mentee
  • Transparent communication and agreements with the mentee, especially regarding the number and duration of meetings
  • Supporting the mentee in career matters, especially regarding starting a career in Germany
  • Sharing your own professional experiences, challenges you have overcome, tips, and tricks
