Following the success of the last events in 2024 (in February, April, June and September)

have once again joined forces to offer RUB students with and without disabilities a format on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in which they can network and exchange ideas, but also contribute ideas and give feedback to make RUB more inclusive. The student feedback during the event will be collected anonymously and used as feedback by the organizers in their work with other stakeholders, responsible persons and committees.

At this meeting, Björn Frauendienst (Department 2 - Inclusive University) will present the relatively new "Round Table Inclusion". Through this RUB committee, students can also introduce and promote content in the sense of improving inclusion and accessibility in studying and teaching at RUB.

We would also like to use the first date in the new year 2025 to give student initiatives and members of university committees the opportunity to present their commitment and work. This offers interested students the opportunity to get to know participation opportunities at RUB and to work together on topics related to inclusion and accessibility. In a joint exchange, experiences and concerns can be formulated and new perspectives gained - the meeting is therefore particularly suitable for first-semester students.

The language of the event is German.

We look forward to active participation and lively networking!

Who can participate?

The event is aimed at RUB students with and without disabilities and chronic illnesses.

You are not alone ...

Statistically, almost 16% of all RUB students live with an impairment that makes studying more difficult (cf. 22nd "Sozialerhebung" [Social Survey], p. 42f). If you haven't noticed this before, it's probably because you rarely see people's impairments directly ...
