Your options in brief

Be sure to follow the “Four Rules of DoSV” (PDF)

  • Receiving and actively accepting an admission offer
Please note: If you accept an admission offer, you are irrevocably eliminated from all other procedures at hochschulstart.de. So be sure to wait for your preferred course.

If you accept an admission offer, your other applications to Ruhr University Bochum that are not involved in hochschulstart.de will still be valid and will not be deleted.

  • Receiving and declining an admission offer
Until the end of coordination phase (24.02./24.08.), your highest-priority admission offer will remain valid.

All lower-priority admission offers are immediately eliminated from the procedure. The four rules of the DoSV are in effect here.

  • No admission offer received
If you haven’t received an admission offer for the degree program you indicated, you will receive an email from hochschulstart informing you about the Coordinated succession procedure.

Here, you will have to submit a statement of participation in the Coordinated succession procedure for each degree program. You can submit the statement of participation via a link that you will receive in the email from hochschulstart.de or directly in the portal at hochschulstart.de.
