eCampus - Student Self Service
At RUB, the era of pen and paper has long been a thing of the past: student accounts can be largely managed from home or from a computer workplace on the campus.
ID card for the utmost in security
The key to almost all online applications is the combination of a login name that is allocated to you when you enrol and a password chosen individually by every user. Likewise indispensable: the ID card, which is simultaneously your student ID, public transport ticket for the VRR region, and payment card in the Mensa and the AKAFÖ cafés, plus a chip card reader. The latter can be purchased at the price of 20 euros at the Infopoint in the university administration building or used at the computer workplaces across the campus. Using this secure authentication, students have access to numerous convenient eCampus services:
- Accessing their personal RUB email account
- Managing their credits and academic record, checking academic details (CampusOffice)
- Planning their curriculum online: accessing the course calendar, registering for seminars, setting up their timetable (likewise CampusOffice)
- Managing their personal data, for example changing their address, verifying their payments (social insurance contribution)
- Printing documents such as certificates of enrolment, overview of academic credit, NRW-Ticket for public transport
