Our Personal Advice: Orientation Meetings

We are currently switching to a new advisory concept at Peer Quartier: the orientation meeting, i.e. a meeting to determine your personal situation.

Especially when it is difficult to maintain an overview and focus on the next steps in challenging phases of life, it can be helpful to look at your own situation together with a second person.

The purpose of the orientation meeting is to open up new perspectives, solutions, support options and next steps.

The Orientation Meeting is a Guided Process

  1. A Moodle course guides you through a few questions in advance to help you sort out the current situation and clarify your issues. This first step ensures that the first conversation will already be effective and target-oriented.
  2. In the first conversation, you look at your issues together with an advisor from Peer Quartier and search and explore support options and concrete steps for you.
  3. With this information, you can try out what works for you.
  4. In a follow-up appointment, you and your advisor will reflect on what has helped and what can be established in the long term to help you cope well with your studies.
