Application and enrollment at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) are easy: For non-restricted degree programs, interested students who meet all admission requirements are sure to get a place and can simply enrol. For degree programs with restricted admission, you can apply for a place via a our application portal.

You can apply now online for Bachelor's and Master's programmes in summer term 2025. The application ends on 15 January 2025.

Please note that the Registrar’s Office including Admission Offices will be closed from 23.12.2024 to 03.01.2025. Please refrain from double requests by email during this period. Inquiries by email and telephone will be replied to only after 02.01.2025. Our personal office hours will resume on 06.01.2025.

Enrollment / Matriculation

In principle, you can enrol for non-restricted degree programs if you meet all the requirements. Depending on which degree program and subject you have chosen and which applicant group you belong to, you will have to observe different requirements, procedures and certificates - so please inform yourself before you enroll.

Ausweisübergabe bei der Einschreibung

No matter whether you have chosen a non-restricted Bachelor's programme or have accepted admission to a restricted degree programme: In order to study at RUB, you must enrol on time.
